Learn how collaboration in interior digital décor can make office space more likable.

It's a competitive market in the San Francisco area. That’s why Gene Klein, CEO at BarkerBlue was chosen to present his take on how he helps companies make their office space more palatable to employees. The panel was comprised of Klein and two general contractors who specialize in tenant improvements and custom build-outs.

The GCs presented their views on how to make work space in commercial real estate more agreeable to employees by building in high-end kitchens, lobbies, break rooms and more. This approach helps generate more dollars per square foot for leases and eases the effect of more employees being placed in collaborative work environments.

Klein’s perspective on improvements to commercial work space was a little different. He stated that “environmental graphics” or interior digital décor is an employee attraction because it allows them the opportunity for self-expression through wall graphics. Interior digital décor is also a corporate tool for brand extension and an expression of shared values in order to align goals and successfully onboard the employee.

Klein states “…my spin is that environmental graphics should go in after construction is completed because it helps to empower the employee and also because BarkerBlue wants to work directly with our clients and not just be a subcontractor on a construction project.”

Other participants in this panel included Rossi Builders president Craig Rossi, Pankow Project Executive Wally Naylor, and DCI Engineers and event moderator Jeff Brink. For more information on this event, go to: https://goo.gl/Is2tJT.
